Strongly committed to the reduction of greenhouse gasses by producing renewable fuels.

Integrated Grain Processors Co-Operative Inc.

Integrated Grain Processors Co-OperativeIntegrated Grain Processors Co-Operative Inc. (IGPC) was formed by a group of southwestern Ontario corn producers to develop an ethanol plant that would increase value to local producers’ corn, create jobs, and stimulate the economy in southwestern Ontario.

The Co-Operative is strongly committed to the reduction of greenhouse gasses by producing renewable fuels.

A new $132 million ethanol plant recently built in Aylmer, Ontario, will be capable of producing roughly 150 million litres of denatured fuel-grade ethanol annually. Surrounding communities will benefit from direct and indirect employment by the plant and its suppliers, as well as the financial injection from a major local corn buyer.

IGPC
is delighted with their choice of Aylmer as the site for its ethanol operation. With a supportive Town Council, receptive community members, and a positive attitude from local businesses, IGPC is confident that Elgin County was the right place to build.

Noroxel Energy Ltd

Elgin County's growing reputation as a favoured location for energy and environmental industries has received a boost from the opening of a biodiesel plant that will soon be capable of producing 10 million litres of fuel a year.

Three entrepreneurs from Elgin County have invested to build the Noroxel Energy Ltd. plant, in addition to purchasing the property, just outside of Springfield on Ron McNeil Line.

The first truck carrying biodiesel to a fuel wholesaler left the plant May 26th, says Neil Bossuyt, one of the three partners and the company’s chief administration officer.

Bossuyt, who was previously general manager of Elgin Community Futures Corporation, and his partners John Hermsen and Gary Van Leeuwen have been developing Noroxel Energy for about two years. They have obtained all of the government approvals needed for their project, constructed storage tanks and containment dykes, purchased and commissioned the production equipment and hired plant manager Mike Hilliker effective May 1.
